MARKETING UPDATES:
New ads for Greater New Haven region to reach travel planners this spring
The GNHCVB along with the Yale Museums and the International Festival of Arts and Ideas, have committed to a combined full page ad for the 2009 Summer and Fall integrated marketing campaigns, often called the FSI (Free-Standing-Insert). Madden Media will produce two newspaper-insert-led print and online campaigns to reach and influence targeted consumers in the metro New York and Connecticut newspapers. Last year the Greater New Haven marketplace generated more than 10,000 responses from this campaign. The conversion study for the 2008 Spring program documents that 80% percent of these respondents will visit advertised destinations throughout the state. We extend our gratitude to our ad partners and the Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism for coordinating the four-month cooperative program, which offers the opportunity to join efforts with attractions, hotels, and destination marketing organizations to ensure that Connecticut is top of mind for travelers planning leisure getaways.
The GNHCVB has also placed a brochure ad in USA Weekend. This ad placement typically generates thousands of inquiries from potential travelers who request a copy of the latest Greater New Haven Visitors Guide. |
