New Haven Museum and Historical Society

Founded 1862, the museum is the Elm City’s civic and art museum and research center. It showcases the area history, geography, industry, neighborhoods, ethnic/religious heritage and the Amistad exhibit. Hours: Tues.-Fri. 10-5 p.m. Sat. 12 noon-5 p.m. Free first Sundays 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. adults $4; seniors $3, $2-children/student., under age of 12-free. Call for group discounts.
